Alan Davis Knights of Pendragon Character Redesigns

I found these on Alan Davis' website, character redesign sketches of the Knights of Pendragon he did for the second series, from issue #6. I've cut and pasted each image from the original scans to highlight the detail, some are very blurry, but you get the idea of what Alan was trying to achieve.

He had this to say... 'I remembered pencilling this cover but had
completely forgotten that I redesigned these
characters until I came across the copies below.'

Union Jack

I loved the redesigns, apart from Union Jack, Alan Davis gave them a more contemporary feel!

ClanDestine Vs X-Men Art by Alan Davis

Spotted this beauty on the Comic Art Fans site, posted in 2005.

The owner of this piece of art (Lucky Blighter) had this to say...
'This was ad artwork that was used to promote the two-parter before it came out. My money is on the ClanDestine. They have been around for centuries!'

Alan Davis Fact-File Art

Alan Davis posted some art which he drew for the Eaglemoss Fact-Files on his website, with a bit of blurb!

Cover for an issue of the Marvel Fact-file from Eaglemoss. The brief was to recreate the original cover of Captain Britain 1.

Along with a copy of the original cover is the original blackline art. Between finishing the art and publication plans to republish Jeff Hawke were shelved and Hawke was replaced by the Freefall Warriors.

The Eaglemoss three page gatefolds usually show the internal workings of armour, robots or machines. This wasn't possible with the spread dedicated to CB's foe, MASTERMIND because he/it was a hologram. So this shows the cavern computer responsible for generating the holographic avatars-- Mastermnd, Jeeves and dwarfish drones.

The second Eaglemoss gatefold was dedicated to the FURY with four inserts of internal workings.
